It has been a long time since our forum for interaction has seen any action. From my side I
can claim to have been a sabbatical, but the response from all members of our team has been very disheartening, to put it extremely mildly. Nevertheless I shall keep on things and prodding everybody to make sure that everybody is pulled out from their cocoons and inertia to make our intranet a form for vibrant, continuous and intensive interaction, not only professional but also to exchange other matters of mutual interest.
This time I intend to focus on the power of our dreams and passions and the intense role that they have in influencing on personal and professional lives. The visionary Narayanmurthy (Co-founder of Infosys) once said “Dream for the sky – you may not reach the stars, but you will definitely not end up with mud on your face”. Dreams when passionately pursued have an unmistakable chance of fructifying and passions when pursued with a missionary zeal lead to a sense of fulfillment, which cannot be measured absolutely or even relatively. Dream out of the ordinary and excel in the area which you are passionate about and see the whole world turnings around you and the dramatic impact taking place in your life. That is the stuff legends are made off.
To conclude I would like to quote a stanza from the famous poem The Road Less Travelled by Robert Frost
“I shall be telling this with a sigh
Somewhere ages and ages hence:
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I—
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference”
That is also the power dreams are made of. Perhaps you may find this mail not very topical, but the intent in addition to giving some food for thought is also to remind everybody of our mode of interaction.
Happy dreaming
