‘All good things come to an end’ is a famous quote & the same was appositely applied in the context of Legal Consultancy Services by Finance Act 2009 and now again by the Finance Bill 2011
The privilege of being a non‐ taxable service, enjoyed by the legal fraternity for the last fifteen years came to an end, though in a limited way on 01.09.2009 wherein consultancy, advice or technical assistance provided in any discipline of law was brought within the ambit of Service, provided it was being provided by a business entity to Business Entity.
This Budget has extended its fangs to cover a wider scope of Legal Consultancy Services including representational services.
